Great place. The people where like family. Love it. Wish I could go again. My wife and I did a day fishing trip at this Lodge. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The provided lunch was great as was the location of the lodge. The guide we had was very knowledgeable about fishing and the various ways to catch the fish in the area. Would highly recommend this Lodge. Great service, fishing and guides Lodging is a little dated. Food is all family style service. Good for off the grid What an amazing place! The fishing was fabulous and the lodge and staff were exceptional. Tony is an amazing chef and we felt spoiled all week. I flew in for a day of fishing two days in a row. The guides were great and we were able to limit out our boat both days. I am looking to stay at the lodge on my next trip and save the fly in each day. Since I had not been to Alaska before and had connected with Rusts Flying Service, they set me up to fish at McDougall Lodge. I was there in July 2015 and am planning on being back in 2017.
